ORDINANCES

  1. Speed limits are as follows:

    • 50 MPH in the city

    • 65 MPH on unpaved roads

    • 85 MPH on a highway

  2. Red lights are considered yields if there is no oncoming traffic and it is safe to proceed.

  3. Weed is a legal substance in Los Santos. An individual can be charged if found with more than 30 units, found to be unlawfully selling, or if found unlawfully planting or harvesting.

  4. Dust, crystal, and obsidian are illegal substances, the possession of which can result in a charge of Possession of an Illegal Substance. Possession of 20 or more units results in a Distribution II charge or if an individual is found in the act of selling or giving any amount. An individual can be charged with Manufacturing and Cultivation if found in the act of producing dust or crystal.

  5. Citizens may possess, carry, purchase, and sell semi-automatic handguns, pump shotguns, knives, tasers, and blunt force objects without special approval.

  6. Citizens may obtain permission to own submachine guns, sawed-off shotguns, and compact rifles for private defense but not for regular public use.

  7. Citizens may not possess, carry, sell, or purchase heavy machine guns, propelled launchers, laser weapons, heavy shotguns, explosives, or mines.

  8. Non-citizens may only carry firearms with permission and licensing from Justice.

  9. Government employees, diplomats, and other such beings of unique circumstances and privilege may receive tickets and fines. Regarding prosecution and imprisonment, if special privilege is invoked, governing bodies involved decide if a being is to be subjected to typical legal proceedings, expelled from their position, and/or subject to an alternative outcome. In situations unrelated to role and duty, status is typically waived.

  10. License plates are public, but reasonable suspicion is required to pull a vehicle over.

  11. Miranda rights are used if an individual is taken into custody, formally questioned, and answers to formal questioning are going to be used as evidence. Failure to Mirandize does not result in dismissal of a case, only in dismissal of answers as evidence.

HUNTING REGULATIONS

  1. A valid license is required to hunt.

  2. Hunting outside of a designated zone or without a license is a crime.

  3. Current open hunting zones are: Cassidy Creek and Trail, Raton Canyon, Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness, and Paleto Forest.

  4. Use of bait is permitted and encouraged within hunting zones.

  5. Overhunting a specific spot is not permitted.

  6. Negligent use of vehicles or weapons within hunting zones is not permitted.

  7. Endangering other citizens while hunting is a crime.

  8. A valid license is required to use an hunting rifle.

  9. Hunting rifles are not to be used outside of hunting areas or for anything other than hunting.

  10. Hunting rifles are equipped with special technology to curb a history of hunting related accidents. Attempts to harm a citizen with a hunting rifle is a serious crime.
